High impact resistant system using extruded polystyrene insulation SIFE coating system incorporates a second protective barrier in conjunction with the extruded polystyrene insulation panels. Always apply the adhesive to the insulation with a notched trowel which will form vertical grooves on the insulation. These grooves will serve as adhesion and form cavities for the evacuation of moisture behind the insulation.
